This symposium examined how photographers and artists collaborate and interact with people when making photographic projects in world cities, focusing on the social, political and ethical implications of participation, memory, archives and authorship. It was curated by David Kendall, Ingrid Guyon and Valentina Schivardi as part of Urban Photo Fest, in conjunction with the Centre for Urban and Community Research at Goldsmiths, University of London and Tate Urban Encounters.
